February 6th, 2005: I took my first and so far only formal snowboarding lesson here in 1989 or '90. The instructor blew my mind by riding switch as smoothly as his normal regular stance (to show me the moves). He also handed me a ski pole, which I used to hold up my arms and hands and develop proper upper body management on the board. I don't recall any park back then, just the moguls to launch yourself off of. I do remember cruising and having fun, though. Fast forward to 15 years later, and 2005! Kablammo! Waterville has more park than you can deal with in one day, so you'd better move there for the season next winter! The main park is Exhibition, right at the bottom of the hill, in plain view of the entire lodge and everyone on the lift, so bring your steez. There's a smaller park with more small and medium jumps on the Psyched trail, and a kiddie park and mini pipe called the Boneyard for all you youngin's. Tell 'em The Sideways Guide sent ya!
